A tragic incident at Juhu’s Silver Beach saw two boys swept away by the sea on Friday morning. One was rescued by lifeguards, while the search continues for the second. A morning outing turned tragic at Silver beach near Godrej Gate in Juhu on Friday when two boys were swept away by rough sea currents. While one was promptly rescued by lifeguards, a search operation is ongoing for the second youth who remains missing.
According to the on-duty guards, the incident occurred around 8:30 AM. The incident occurred around 8:30 AM, according to officials from the Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB).
Several civic and emergency response teams were deployed for the search, including fire brigade, police, BMC ward staff and ambulances. One of the missing persons, 22-year-old Rajkumar Govind Subba, was rescued by (Drishti) Life Guard Jitendra Tandel before the arrival of fire brigade.
However, search operations for missing person, said to aged 20, was stopped by the fire brigade at 1.46 pm owing to high tide.
Authorities have issued renewed warnings for visitors to stay cautious, especially during the monsoon season when sea conditions are particularly hazardous.
