For 12-year-old Aditya Yadav, Monday’s journey to cricket coaching turned into an innings he hadn’t signed up for. The Std VI student from Wadala was stranded for over an hour and a half between Ghatkopar and Vikhroli, unsure whether he would make it to Cricket Mantras academy in Nahur West for his 3.30 pm to 6.30 pm session.
“I don’t know whether I will be able to reach my ground by 5 or 5.30 pm,” Aditya told mid-day. “I have heard that Central Railway runs late, but usually it is just 15 minutes. Today it is late by more than one to two hours. I will not be able to reach the academy even by 5.30 pm.”
