Mumbai local train update: No day block on Western Railway suburban section on Oct 2

The Western Railway (WR) will not carry out any mega block in the day time on Sunday. The WR will, however, carry out maintenance work on local train railway tracks, signalling and overhead equipment for which a jumbo block of four hours will be taken on UP and DOWN Slow lines between Borivli and Goregaon stations from 12.30 am to 4.30 am on Sunday, October 2.


According to a press release issued by WR, therefore, there will be no block in day time over Western Railway suburban section on Sunday, October 2.

"During the block period, all UP and DOWN slow line trains will be operated on Fast lines between Goregaon and Borivli stations. Some suburban trains will remain cancelled during the block," Sumit Thakur, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, said in the press release.

During the block period, no trains will be dealt from platforms 1, 2, 3 and 4 at Borivli station, WR said in the press release.
