It said that the mega block will be taken on the suburban sections on Sunday, January 25, 2026, for engineering and maintenance work.

The Central Railway said that on its Main line, the mega block will be in effect on the Matunga-Mulund UP and DOWN fast lines from 11:05 am to 3:45 pm.

"Trains travelling beyond Thane will be diverted back to the fast line at Mulund," officials said.

They said that the UP fast line trains leaving Thane between 11:03 am and 3:38 pm will be diverted to the UP slow line at Mulund. These trains will also stop at scheduled stations and will be diverted back to the fast line at Matunga, arriving 15 minutes late.

The Central Railway further stated that on its Harbour line, the block will be from 11:40 am to 4:40 pm on the CSMT-Chunabhatti/Bandra down Harbour line and from 11:10 am to 4:10 pm on the Chunabhatti/Bandra-CSMT up Harbour line.

Harbour line passengers are allowed to travel via the Main line and Western Railway between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm during the block.
