A non-interlocking block has been scheduled in the early hours of December 27–28 (between 1 and 7 am) for commissioning an electronic interlocking panel on the Up and Down Fast lines at Borivali. Officials said the move is a critical step towards safer, more efficient train operations on one of the suburban system’s most congested stretches as they add the additional sixth line.
“During the block, some Up mail/express trains will skip their Borivali halt,” an official said.
