Mumbai rains: Mulund, Bhandup record over 150 mm rainfall by 9 pm; check area-wise figures

Heavy monsoon showers continued to batter Mumbai and neighbouring Thane on Wednesday, with several locations in the eastern suburbs receiving more than 150 mm of rainfall by 9 pm. Mulund recorded the highest rainfall at 166 mm, while Thane logged 117.55 mm during the 13-hour period ending at 9.30 pm

Heavy monsoon showers continued to lash Mumbai and neighbouring Thane on Wednesday, with several locations in the eastern suburbs recording more than 150 mm of rainfall by 9 pm, according to data released by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). The Regional Disaster Management Cell (RDMC) of the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) also reported persistent rainfall across the city throughout the day.
As per the BMC's rainfall update, the highest rainfall between 8 am and 9 pm was recorded at Mithagar Municipal School in Mulund, which received 166 mm of rain.
