IMD red alert: Palghar schools, colleges to remain shut on Thursday amid heavy rain forecast

All types of educational institutions — including anganwadis, government and private primary and secondary schools, zilla parishad schools, municipal schools, aided and unaided schools, ashram schools, colleges, and vocational training centres — will remain closed on Thursday

The Palghar district administration has declared a holiday for all schools and colleges on Thursday in view of a red alert issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) for heavy to very heavy rainfall with extremely heavy rainfall at isolated places.
The order was issued by District Collector Dr Indu Rani Jakhad, who is also the chairperson of Palghar’s District Disaster Management Authority.
