The water stock in the seven lakes that supply drinking water to Mumbai rose to 75.16 per cent on Sunday morning, or 10,87,865 million litres.

According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) data, the combined stock in the seven reservoirs that provide water to the city now stands at 75.16 per cent.
The total water stock in the seven lakes reached 1,087,865 million litres (ML) on Sunday.
Among the reservoirs, Upper Vaitarna recorded a level of 601.80 metres, with a live storage of 172,022 ML, while Modak Sagar and Tansa reported 128,925 ML and 116,653 ML, respectively.
Middle Vaitarna held water stock of 179,675 ML, and Bhatsa, the largest contributor, stored 473,010 ML. Vehar and Tulsi contained 13,478 ML and 4,102 ML, respectively.
Notably, the combined storage in Upper Vaitarna, Vaitarna, Tansa, and Middle Vaitarna is 597,275 ML, with 85.99 per cent of full storage capacity utilised. The city has received a total rainfall of 730.00 mm this season at the Bhandup Complex, with 18.00 mm recorded on the reporting day.
Water release from lakes and gate operations are also ongoing, including the Upper Vaitarna release that commenced on July 5 and Middle Vaitarna gate openings that began on July 7.

According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) data, Mumbai and its suburbs are expected to witness a partly cloudy sky with intermittent light rain on Sunday. While the rainfall is not likely to be intense, residents should remain prepared for occasional showers throughout the day.
The maximum and minimum temperatures in Mumbai are likely to be around 32 degrees Celsius and 26 degrees Celsius, respectively.
