After complaints about walk-in registration for those aged 45 and above, the BMC has limited this facility. People in the age group will get their first dose but only through pre-registration. Vaccination at civic-run and government centres will begin after 12 pm on Wednesday. The BMC asked people in the age group of 18-44 years to come only with registration and those aged 45 and above to only come for the second dose on Wednesday. Those coming for second dose can come directly.

The BMC announced on Twitter that walk-in facilities have been limited to 20 per cent of the doses available with each centre. The BMC was expecting one lakh doses late on Tuesday night. Meanwhile, registration for the 18-44 group closed within minutes of opening on Tuesday, too.
