Promised jobs abroad, 60 men conned of Rs 5 cr

Aspirants hailing from Nepal were conned by a placement agency that promised work in Canada and Australia; agency owner is absconding

Around 60 job aspirants hailing from Nepal were left with a sour taste in their mouth when they realised their dreams of getting a job in a foreign land was all a lie.

The jobseekers lined up outside Powai police station to register their grievances. The aspirants said that a placement agency by the name of Solar Enterprises run by an Alex D’souza had promised them jobs in Canada, Australia in return for Rs 5 crore.
