Mumbai mayor Snehal Ambekar has suspended six Congress corporators of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation in a general body meeting on Monday.

Action was taken against the corporators due to the ruckus they created over the uneven distribution of corporator funds, which is also a part of the civic budget 2015. The corporators who had to bear the brunt of the Congress corporators’ ill behaviour include Sheetal Mhatre, Waqarunissa Ansari, Nayana Sheth, Parul Mehta, Dr Ajanta Yadav and Anita Yadav.
