Thane residents to face 10 per cent water cut until further orders amid low reservoir stock

The Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) on Thursday announced a daily 10 per cent water cut in areas receiving water supply from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), citing low water levels in reservoirs supplying Mumbai.

According to the civic body, BMC has implemented a 10 per cent water cut from May 15 due to the significantly depleted water stock in reservoirs supplying drinking water. The Mumbai civic body has directed TMC to effectively implement the cut in all areas within Thane city receiving BMC water supply.
