<a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/thane-hospitality-firm-asked-to-pay-rs-35000-to-couple-for-deficient-services-23250593" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Thane</a> district on friday reported 21 new cases of <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/news/india-news/article/india-reports-2430-new-covid-19-cases-17-deaths-23250553" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Covid-19</a>. The fresh cases took the infection tally to 1,96,946, according to a Covid-19 bulletin issued by the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC).
According to the bulletin, no Covid-19 related death was reported on Friday. The Covid-19 fatality toll in Thane now stands unchanged at 2,162.

With addition of the latest coronavirus cases, Thane currently has 181 active cases.
11 Covid-19 patients recovered on October 15, taking the total number of recoveries since the beginning in the city to 1,94,603. The recovery rate in the TMC area is 98.81 per cent.
