Water supply disrupted in parts of South and Central Mumbai after major pipeline leak

A major leak in a 1,650 mm diameter water pipeline on Dr. E. Moses Road has disrupted water supply in several parts of south and central Mumbai, with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) undertaking emergency repair work.

According to the BMC, the leak was detected late on Wednesday night after a crack developed in the main water pipeline located opposite Famous Studio on Dr. E. Moses Road. The civic body said its Hydraulic Engineer’s Department has begun repair work on a priority basis.
