Western Railway to run five pairs of festival special trains from October 1 to November 30

Western Railway will operate five pairs of festival special trains between major cities from October 1 to November 30 to meet the high passenger demand during Durga Puja, Diwali, and Chhath Puja. Bookings open at PRS counters and on the IRCTC website

The Western Railway will operate Festival Special Trains on a special fare the Bandra Terminus–Sanganer (Rajasthan), Indore-Khadki, Indore–Hazrat Nizamuddin, Sabarmati–Patna, and Rajkot–Barauni (Bihar) corridors to cater to the high passenger footfall during Durga Puja, Diwali, and Chhath Puja.

The details of the trains are as follows


Bandra Terminus–Sanganer Superfast Weekly Special (Train Nos. 09023/09024)



Duration: 18 trips from October 2 to November 27.

Timings: 09023 departs Bandra Terminus every Thursday at 4.45 pm, reaching Sanganer at 12.30 pm the next day. Train 09024 departs Sanganer every Friday at 4.50 pm, arriving Bandra Terminus at 11.15 am next day.

Halts: Borivali, Palghar, Vapi, Valsad, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, Ratlam, Nagda (Madhya Pradesh), Chaumahla (Rajasthan), Shamgarh (Madhya Pradesh), Bhawani Mandi and Ramganj Mandi (Rajasthan), Kota, and Sawai Madhopur.

Coaches: AC 2-Tier, AC 3-Tier, AC 3-Tier (Economy).

Sabarmati–Patna Weekly Special (Train Nos. 09427/09428)

Duration: 18 trips from October 1 to November 26

Timings: 09427 departs Sabarmati every Wednesday at 6.10 pm, reaching Patna at 1 am on Friday; 09428 departs Patna every Friday at 4.40 am, arriving Sabarmati at 9.55 am the next day.

Halts: Mahesana, Palanpur (Gujarat), Abu Road, Marwar, Ajmer, Jaipur, Gandhi Nagar Jaipur, Dausa, Bharatpur, Achhnera, Idgah Agra, Tundla, Etawah, Kanpur Central, Prayagraj Jn, Mirzapur, Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, Buxar, Ara, Danapur.

Coaches: AC 3-Tier.

Indore–Khadki Weekly Special (Train Nos. 09324/09323)

Duration: 18 trips from October 1 to November 26

Timings: 09324 departs Indore every Wednesday at 11.15 am, reaching Khadki at 3.10 am the next day; 09323 departs Khadki every Thursday at 5.10 am, reaching Indore at 11.55 pm the same day.

Halts: Dewas, Ujjain, Nagda, Ratlam, Godhra, Vadodara, Surat, Valsad, Vapi, Vasai Road, Kalyan, Lonavla.

Coaches: AC 2-Tier, AC 3-Tier.

Indore–Hazrat Nizamuddin Bi-Weekly Superfast Special (Train Nos. 09309/09310)

Duration: 36 trips from October 3 to November 30

Timings: 09309 departs Indore every Friday and Sunday at 5 pm, reaching Hazrat Nizamuddin at 5 am the next day; 09310 departs Hazrat Nizamuddin every Saturday and Monday at 8.20 pm, arriving Indore at 9 pm same day.

Halts: Dewas, Ujjain, Nagda, Ramganj Mandi, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Gangapur City, Mathura.

Coaches: AC 2-Tier, AC 3-Tier.

Rajkot – Barauni Weekly Special (Train Nos. 09569/09570)

Duration: 18 trips from October 2 to November 27

Timings: 09569 departs Rajkot every Thursday at 5 pm, reaching Barauni at 5 am on Saturday; 09570 departs Barauni every Saturday at 2.40 pm, arriving Rajkot at 4.40 pm on Monday.

Halts: Wankaner, Surendernagar, Chandlodiya B Cabin, Mahesana, Palanpur, Abu Road, Falna, Marwar, Beawar, Ajmer, Kishangarh, Jaipur, Gandhi Nagar Jaipur, Dausa, Bandikui, Bharatpur, Idgah Agra, Tundla, Govindpuri, Prayagraj Jn., Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, Buxar, Ara, Danapur, Patliputra, Sonpur, Hajipur, Shahpur Patoree.

Coaches: AC 2-Tier, AC 3-Tier.

The bookings for the trains will open from Sunday at all passenger reservation system (PRS) counters and on the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) website. Passengers can visit www.enquiry.indianrail.gov.in for detailed information on timings and halts.
