3 goons slash shop owner's throat

Returning home from work, a cutlery shop owner identified as Harishchandra More (50), was attacked by three unidentified youth between the age of 25-30 at 10.30 pm, last night. More, a resident of Pimpri was returning from Pune station when the assailants jumped him and threatened him with a razor. When More refused to pay them any money, the goons attacked him with the razor and he sustained injuries to his head and throat.

His wife and son rushed More to Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial Hospital (YCM) after the incident occurred. "We rushed to the spot as soon as possible and found him bleeding there. We wanted to admit him to a closeby hospital but he wanted to be at YCM Hospital."

Dr Pramod Pathre, on-duty medical officer at YCM Hospital said, "We have already informed a surgeon because the cuts look serious. His condition is stable but a vein in the throat has been cut."

No police case has been filed yet as the family is still in shock and are scared to inform the police. His wife said, "We do not want to inform the police as it is difficult to find the culprits. We just want him to be safe and nothing else."
