District Collector Vikas Deshmukh yesterday told media persons that 300 spots for executing stone quarrying have been identified by the district administration, and the proposal seeking clearances were sent to the state environment committee.u00a0

Deshmukh said though he had received 500 proposals, only 300 spots had been selected because the remaining proposals failed to fulfil the criteria necessary for securing permission.
