A women, eight-month-old daughter burnt to death in house fire in Bihar

A woman and her eight-month-old daughter were burnt to death in an accidental fire in the house in Chero village of Bihar's Nalanda district today

A woman and her eight-month-old daughter were burnt to death in an accidental fire in the house in Chero village of Bihar's Nalanda district today. The deceased have been identified as Sulekha Kumari (24) and Sneha (eight months), Chero police outpost Officer-in-Charge Rakesh Kumar said.

The reason behind the fire could not be established yet, Kumar said adding that a fire suddenly broke out in the house of one Dhananjay Kumar whose wife and daughter were charred to death in the incident. Villagers say that short circuit may have caused the fire, police official said.

The bodies have been sent to Biharsharif sadar hospital for post-mortem, the Officer-in-Charge said.
