She was safely shifted to the District General Hospital, Gadchiroli, where her condition is now reported to be stable

An Anganwadi worker, Seema Bambołe, was air-lifted after Gadchiroli Police rushed to her aid as she fell critically ill and needed urgent medical care amid heavy rains in the district.

The swollen Parlkota river in Gadchiroli along with heavy rains had cut off 112 villages, including Bhamragad, where the woman was reported to be in urgent need to medical care, the police said.


Heavy rains and flooding of the Parlkota river have cut off her village.



As the police received information regarding the woman in need of held, it rushed for her help and acting on the instructions of the Zilla Parishad CEO, the Gadchiroli Police deployed a Pawan Hans helicopter to carry out an emergency evacuation from Arewada village under Bhamragad police limits.

She was safely shifted to the District General Hospital, Gadchiroli, where her condition is now reported to be stable.

The operation was executed in coordination with the district administration, revenue officials, and local police, along with Pawan Hans pilots DIG Srinivas and co-pilot Ashish Paul, said a police official.
