CISF foils five attempts to smuggle weapons into Delhi Metro, recovers Rs 22.77 lakh in first half of 2026

According to the data, CISF personnel also recovered a range of personal belongings including gold jewellery weighing 80 grams. The jewellery included chains, rings, earrings, a mangalsutra, and other items. Silver ornaments were also recovered and returned after verification of ownership

The Central Industrial Security Force's (CISF) Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) unit intercepted five attempts to smuggle weapons into the Delhi Metro network during the first half of 2026 (January–June), according to its operational data.
The recoveries included four firearms and one round of live ammunition, the data stated.
