ICAI announces CA exam results; Mumbai’s Rajan Kabra tops final exam with 86 percent

ICAI announced the CA Final, Intermediate, and Foundation May 2025 results. Mumbai's Rajan Kabra topped the Final exam. ICAI President CA Charanjot Singh Nanda congratulated successful candidates, saying, “I congratulate all successful candidates for their hard work and perseverance. As you now step into the professional world."

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) on Sunday announced the results of the Chartered Accountancy Final, Intermediate, and Foundation Examinations conducted in May 2025. Nearly one lakh candidates appeared for these highly competitive tests held across hundreds of centres nationwide.

According to an official statement as reported by news agency ANI, Mumbai’s Rajan Kabra emerged as the topper in the CA Final examination, securing 86 percent with a score of 516 out of 600. Nishtha Bothra and Manav Rakesh Jha took the second and third ranks respectively in the final exam. In total, 99,466 candidates were admitted for the final examination, which was held across 564 centres.


ICAI President CA Charanjot Singh Nanda congratulated successful candidates, saying, “I congratulate all successful candidates for their hard work and perseverance. As you now step into the professional world, I urge you to uphold the highest ethical standards, inspire trust through your actions, and make your family, profession, and nation proud. I am confident that your integrity and commitment will play a meaningful role in shaping a robust, transparent, and prosperous Viksit Bharat.” He also encouraged those who did not clear the exam to persist, emphasising that 'resilience' defines a true Chartered Accountant.



In the Intermediate examination, also held in May, Mumbai’s Disha Ashish Gokhru secured the top rank with 85.50 percent, scoring 513 out of 600. She was followed by Aurangabad’s Devidan Yash Sandeep, who secured the second position with 83.83 percent. The third spot was shared by Yamish Jain and Nilay Dangi. The Intermediate exam saw 169,172 candidates appear across 564 centres.

For the Foundation exam, Ghaziabad’s Vrinda Agarwal clinched the All India first rank with an impressive 90.5 percent, scoring 362 out of 400. Mumbai and Thane’s Yadnesh Rajesh Markar and Shardul Shekhar Vichare took the second and third ranks respectively. A total of 96,538 candidates were admitted for the Foundation examination held at 551 centres.

The results also detailed pass percentages across groups. In the CA Final, Group 1 recorded a pass percentage of 22.38 percent, while Group 2 saw 26.43 percent of candidates clearing the exam. For the Intermediate exam, Group 1 and Group 2 had pass percentages of 14.67 percent and 21.51 percent respectively.
