Pune recorded a maximum temperature of 36.3 degrees Celsius on Wednesday, even as several parts of Maharashtra, particularly Vidarbha, continued to reel under intense heatwave conditions, with Wardha emerging as the hottest place in the state at 47.1 degrees Celsius.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Pune’s maximum temperature was 0.6 degrees below normal, while the minimum temperature settled at 23.9 degrees Celsius, slightly above the seasonal average. The city remained dry throughout the day, with no rainfall recorded.
