In a major push towards environmental sustainability, the Latur Municipal Corporation has launched a large-scale tree plantation drive involving school students, aiming to plant 1.2 lakh saplings across the city.

According to the news agency PTI, the campaign, which began on Thursday, will involve students from 350 schools, who will plant and nurture the saplings provided free of cost by the Social Forestry and Forest Departments.
