Heavy rainfall triggered a major landslide at the Moshi garbage depot in Pune district in Maharashtra on Tuesday, causing a large mound of waste to collapse onto the administrative building of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) Waste-to-Energy project, officials said.
Emergency teams rushed to the site soon after the incident, and rescue operations are continuing.
