IMD predicts thunderstorms, rainfall across Maharashtra over the next few days; temperatures remain above normal

The weather office has forecast partly to generally cloudy skies with thunderstorms, lightning, heavy rainfall in Mumbai over the next few days. Thane and Palghar are also expected to witness thunderstorms, heavy showers, and gusty winds

Maharashtra witnessed mixed monsoon conditions on Sunday, with moderate rainfall reported in parts of the state, including the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), even as daytime temperatures remained above normal at several locations. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast continued thunderstorms, and rainfall across the state over the coming days.

Mumbai and MMR weather

Mumbai recorded a maximum temperature of 32.4 degrees Celsius, which was 1.4 degrees above normal, while the minimum temperature settled at 26.2 degrees Celsius, marginally 0.1 degree above normal.
