Mumbai recorded relatively moderate temperatures on Tuesday even as large parts of Maharashtra reeled under intense summer heat, with Wardha in the Vidarbha region emerging as the hottest place in the state at 43.5 degrees Celsius.

According to data released by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), dry and clear weather conditions prevailed across Maharashtra, pushing daytime temperatures above the 40-degree mark in several regions, particularly Vidarbha and Madhya Maharashtra.
