A 26-year-old employee of HCL was shot while having dinner at a restro-bar in Noida Sector 18 late on Sunday Night.
Some eyewitness claimed that one person fired a bullet after a minor argument while the police claimed that the revolver went off accidentally.
The incident occurred in Vinny's Bar & Restaurant in Sector 18, one of the favourite food joints in Noida.
"A man was holding the revolver when suddenly it fell on the floor and went off. The bullet hit the victim in his leg. The owner of the gun immediately fled the spot leaving his gun behind," said a senior police officer.
The victim, Sachi, is a local resident of Noida. Police said Sachin was rushed to Kailash Hospital where his condition was reportedly critical.
"We are trying to ascertain the identity of the owner of the gun. An FIR in this regard has been registered," a senior police officer said.
An employee of Vinny's Bar told MiD DAY that a person who was claiming to be a politician was carrying the pistol.
"He did not fire it deliberately. It fell off and fired," the employee, a waiter, said. No senior bar official came forward to speak about the incident.
