A delegation of NDA leaders on Monday submitted a formal complaint to Karnataka Chief Electoral Officer V Anbukumar, alleging “massive irregularities” in the ongoing SIR of electoral rolls in the state and demanded an immediate inquiry and mandatory door-to-door re-verification of all enumeration forms.
Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar rejected the opposition charge and accused them of “engaging in politics” over the issue. Asserting that officials involved in the SIR were working under the guidance of the Election Commission of India, he said, “Let the EC probe the allegations.”
