New parking norms a boon for vehicle owners

Now, a minimum of 5 per cent to 20 per cent additional parking space will be granted to residential, private and commercial buildings constructed after 2009
Parking woes have become synonymous with Pune. However, those who have vehicles, and those who are planning to buy new ones, have a reason to rejoice. The Pune Municipal Corporation’s (PMC) suggestion for additional parking spaces for public, private and residential establishments has been accepted by the state Urban Development Department. The PMC had given a formal nod to the parking norms under the Development Control Rules submitted by the civic body to the state government in 2005.
