The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday filed its first supplementary chargesheet against Tahawwur Hussain Rana in connection with a terror conspiracy case involving Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Harkat-ul-Jihad-al-Islami (HUJI). The chargesheet was submitted before the NIA Special Court at Patiala House, New Delhi, in case number RC-04/2009/NIA/DLI.

The case pertains to a criminal conspiracy allegedly orchestrated by Rana, David Coleman Headley, and other operatives of LeT and HUJI to carry out coordinated terrorist attacks across multiple locations in India.

According to the agency, the supplementary chargesheet includes documents relating to the extradition of Rana, along with additional evidence gathered during the course of its investigation.

In compliance with a directive issued by the NIA Special Court on June 6, 2025, the agency also submitted a compliance report under Section 207 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC), concerning the supply of documents associated with the original chargesheet filed in 2011.

The NIA stated that further investigations in the case are ongoing.
