Two school teachers engaged in Census work died in two days due to sunstroke in Odisha. The incidents occurred in Mayurbhanj and Sundargarh districts, where the temperature was over 37°C.

This marked three such incident in the state. One of the teacher’s family alleged he had told colleagues about pressure from authorities to continue census duties despite his illness.
