Srinagar Airport announces partial runway closures for maintenance starting July 2026; total runway shutdown from October 1

Srinagar Airport has announced proposed runway maintenance from July to October 2026. The runway may remain closed on Mondays and Tuesdays from July 1 to September 30, with a complete shutdown planned from October 1 to 16, subject to approval. Passengers have been advised to follow official updates

Srinagar International Airport has outlined a schedule for runway maintenance work proposed by the Indian Air Force, which may impact flight operations starting this July. As part of the planned runway maintenance, it is proposed that the runway at Srinagar Airport may remain unavailable on every Monday and Tuesday from 01 July 2026 to 30 September 2026.

Further, a total closure of runway operations is proposed from 01 October 2026 to 16 October 2026.
