Teachers, students give thumbs up to board decision to introduced a textbook for the Cooperation subject at the higher secondary level. Till now students with learning disabilities would have to make do with notes prepared by teachers
Students with learning disabilities will finally get a text book to study the subject of ‘Cooperation’ at the Higher Secondary level. For the first time textbooks for the Co-operation subject have been introduced by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education. Till last year students with learning disabilities had to depend on hand-written notes prepared by their teachers, which posed a big challenge for most of them.
Speaking to SMD, teachers of a few colleges said even they found it tough to prepare notes for the students, especially as the language had to be simplified and care taken to use basic words so that the matter could be grasped by special students.
