Days after University of Pune (UoP) abruptly suspended its Controller of Examination (CoE) Sampada Joshi, many have stood up by her side. Prominent among them is ACP (retd) Sharad Awasthi, who investigated the 'cash for marks' scam of 2012.
"My observation based on my two months as an investigating committee head of the exam department is that Joshi is the single non-corrupt person in the UoP's exam department. Hence her role in the past two years was becoming stumbling block to many others who want to pursue their vested interests," Awasthi said.
