Iran announced it has blacklisted 45 vessels for violating rules in the Strait of Hormuz, threatening action against any ships participating in cargo transfers with them as tensions rise six months into the war.

According to a Sunday X post by Iran’s Persian Gulf Strait Authority, listed ships face potential fines, detention, and cargo seizure. This warning follows recent US threats of “the toughest sanctions in history,” to which Iran promised a “devastating” counter-response.
