Nepal floods: No impact in India yet, NDRF keeps teams ready in UP, Bihar

India has stepped up flood preparedness along its border with Nepal after devastating flash floods and suspected GLOF activity. NDRF IG Narendra Singh Bundela said there has been no adverse impact in Indian territory so far, while teams remain ready for rapid deployment

There has been no adverse flood impact reported so far in Indian territories bordering Nepal, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) Inspector General Narendra Singh Bundela said on Thursday, as authorities stepped up monitoring following devastating floods in the neighbouring country.

Bundela said agencies are keeping a close watch on water discharge levels, particularly in vulnerable districts including Kushinagar and West Champaran.
