A major mishap was averted at Mumbai’s CSMT after a Badlapur-bound local train was mistakenly routed to an occupied platform. The train halted just 130 metres before a collision due to safety systems. Officials termed it a human error and suspended the station manager

The incident was reported at around 7:47 pm on 21 April 2026 to the Thane Municipal Corporation’s Disaster Management Cell. The blaze erupted at Ray Master Compound near St. Xavier’s High School in Manpada on Ghodbunder Road
