It was a day of mixed fortunes for the Siddhesh Lad-led Mumbai team as they ended Day One at 247-6 against Railways in their Elite Group D Ranji Trophy match at the Cricket Club of India’s Brabourne Stadium.
Put into bat, Mumbai openers Angkrish Raghuvanshi (78, 11x4, 2x6) and Divyaansh Saxena (39, 4x4) gave the team a solid start, putting together a 109-run opening stand. However, Railways hit back immediately after lunch, with pacer Himanshu Sangwan (3-32) dismissing Saxena in the first over of the second session, caught behind by substitute wicketkeeper Suraj Ahuja. One-drop Musheer Khan then managed just four before pacer Adarsh Singh (2-60) had him caught behind.
