In a Tri-Nation series T20 match against South Africa, New Zealand emerged victorious by seven wickets at the Harare Sports Club in Zimbabwe.

After losing the toss, South Africa batted first and posted a total of 134 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs.


Opening for the Proteas, skipper Rassie van der Dussen was dismissed after scoring 14 runs off 13 deliveries, including three boundaries. Fellow opener Reeza Hendricks contributed 41 runs off 37 balls, featuring four boundaries and a maximum. Rubin Hermann added 10 runs from 12 balls, hitting two boundaries. Dewald Brevis and Andile Simelane registered scores of 13 and 11 runs, respectively.



Facing 15 balls, George Linde later scored 23 runs, including a boundary and a maximum. Apart from them, no other player managed to reach double digits.

Jacob Duffy, Adam Milne, and skipper Mitchell Santner each took three wickets. Will O’Rourke claimed one wicket, conceding 26 runs in his four overs. Duffy was hit for 33 runs in his spell, while Milne gave away 21 runs. Completing his quota of four overs, Santner conceded 26 runs.

Zakary Foulkes and Rachin Ravindra went wicketless in the Tri-Nation series T20 match against South Africa.

Chasing a target of 135 runs, New Zealand’s opener Devon Conway scored 19 runs off 18 balls, including three boundaries. Tim Seifert anchored the innings with an unbeaten knock of 66 off 48 deliveries, featuring six boundaries and two sixes.

Batting at number three, Ravindra managed just three runs from five balls. Mark Chapman added 10 runs off nine balls, with one boundary.

Darly Mitchell, too, stayed unbeaten at the crease with a score of 20 runs in 15 balls, including two boundaries.

Senuran Muthusamy and Andile Simelane were the only South African bowlers who managed to claim wickets. Bowling four overs, Muthusamy bagged two wickets for 24 runs, whereas Simelane registered one wicket by conceding five runs in the only over he bowled.

George Linde, Gerald Coetzee, Kwena Maphaka, and Nqaba Peter went wicketless in the Tri-Nation series T20 match against the 'Black Caps'.
