Three-year-old Beast Mode, trained by MK Jadhav, who gave proof of his form and class when posting an impressive victory when winning his maiden race in second lifetime start at Mumbai, faces a ather mediocre opposition in the DK Ashish Salver, and accordingly, shapes as the best bet of the opening day's card at Pune. The filly to whom Beast Mode had lost on debut, Lady Scarlet trained by Adhirajsingh, attracts as another good bet of the card in the Class III, Columbia Plate, despite being asked to jump from the widest gate position. For the feature event, Dr SR Captain Salver, Adhirajsingh-trained Sovereign King is expected to wear down Western Star and Kavya.
