Arnav Paparkar, 18, who became the first Indian since 2001 to reach the boy’s singles last eight at Wimbledon on Wednesday, said it was a ‘special’ moment to enter his maiden Grand Slam quarter-finals at the All England Club.
“This is my first Grand Slam quarter-final, and to achieve it here is even more special,” Paparkar told JioStar after his 6-2, 6-1 win over Japan’s Ryo Tabata.
