Mumbai: Maharashtra beat Uttarakhand 3-2 in their Santosh Trophy opener in Siliguri yesterday.

With the two teams tied 2-2 and three minutes of regulation time to go, Santosh Koli netted the winner for Maharashtra.

Earlier, S Singh scored a brace for Uttarakhand while Allan Dias and Shabaz Pathan scored a goal each for Maharashtra.
