SRK injured, shoot stalled
Shah Rukh Khan has reportedly suffered a minor injury while shooting an intense action scene for his much-anticipated 2026 thriller King at Mumbai’s Golden Tobacco studio. The superstar has flown to the US for treatment. A production insider described the mishap as a muscular strain — the kind that sneaks up after years of action-packed roles and gym sessions. While not serious, his team opted for expert care abroad. Doctors have advised a month of rest, stalling the shoot that was underway across Film City and YRF Studios. The next schedule may roll out only in September. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee took to X to share her concern, writing that she was “worried” about her “brother” Shah Rukh and wished him a speedy recovery. King marks the theatrical debut of his daughter Suhana Khan, where she plays his protégé.

July 24. Jio Studios and Devgn Films confirmed the new date, calling it a “strategic decision” that benefits both Saiyaara and Son of Sardar 2. “While the original had audiences in splits, the sequel promises even more laughs and musical highs,” the makers said. Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, this laughter-loaded sequel boasts a star-studded cast: Ravi Kishan, Sanjay Mishra, Neeru Bajwa, Chunky Panday, Kubbra Sait, Deepak Dobriyal, Vindu Dara Singh, Sharad Saxena, Sahil Mehta, and the late Mukul Dev.
