Ranveer Singh’s team denies rumours of him producing a new Shaktimaan project, confirming he’s busy with Aditya Dhar’s film and Don 3, with no superhero plans

The rumours that Ranveer Singh is producing a new Shaktimaan project and collaborating with the original creator, Mukesh Khanna, have been dominating the headlines for quite some time now. While these claims have continued to circulate for months, the team of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani actor has finally issued an official statement clarifying that there is no truth to such reports.
In an official statement issued by Ranveer Singh's team, it was reported that the actor is currently busy shooting for his upcoming action thriller Don 3 and has no plans to acquire the rights to Shaktimaan. The official statement reads, "The news about Ranveer Singh acquiring rights to develop a new superhero (Shaktimaan) project as the producer holds no truth. He is currently busy shooting for Aditya Dhar’s next, and then Don 3 is also on the cards for him.”
Ranveer Singh tried to convince Mukesh Khanna for three hours
Veteran actor Mukesh Khanna, who ruled the television space as the Indian superhero Shaktimaan, had claimed that Bollywood superstar Ranveer Singh tried to convince him for three hours, seeking approval to star in the film based on his character.
In an interview with Bollywood Thikana, Mukesh said, “That poor guy (Ranveer Singh) was sitting in front of me for three hours. But it doesn’t reflect on his face what it needs to play Shaktimaan. He looks fickle, as if he will con somebody. But he is a terrific actor. When I praised him, I mentioned that nobody else in the film industry has the energy like him. But I haven’t approved him for the role. He must have felt bad. However, in the industry, it is the producer who casts the actor, not the other way around. That photoshoot was one of the very big reasons that started my aversion to him. When I saw that photoshoot, I said, ‘Kya kar raha hai yaar.’”
Ranveer Singh on the work front
On the work front, Ranveer Singh was last seen in Singham Again. It also stars Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, and Deepika Padukone. Singham Again is the third installment of the hit franchise. The actor is currently busy shooting for Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3. The leading lady of the film is not yet confirmed, with Kiara Advani stepping down after announcing her pregnancy.
