The teaser of Paresh Rawal's The Taj Story has been released just a day before Independence Day. The makers of the film, Swarnim Global Services Pvt.Ltd and CA Suresh Jha sparked curiosity and conversation among viewers by officially announcing The Taj Story. They mark the announcement by unveiling a powerful short teaser that brings forth the soul and essence of the film, creating intrigue about its bold message.

The Taj Story teaser

The teaser shows veteran actor Paresh Rawal standing inside a courtroom as he argues about the intellectual wipeout of a community. The film seems to be more than just another period or historical film. Among its core themes, it touched down on a question that has sparked discussions for decades: Who really built the Taj Mahal?  Was it Shah Jahan, or does history hide another truth?

The film explores this contested narrative while blending social commentary with a re-examination of historical facts, ensuring that the film will be as thought-provoking as it is dramatic. It has a theme of Internet theories, albeit with a lack of historical accuracy.

About The Taj Story

The Taj Story features an ensemble cast led by Paresh Rawal, along with Zakir Hussain, Amruta Khanvilkar, Sneha Wagh, and Namit Das. It is positioned as a hard-hitting social drama that fearlessly raises one of the most provocative questions of our times: “Even after 79 years of Independence, are we still slaves of intellectual terrorism?”

Penned and directed by Tushar Amrish Goel, with Vikas Radhesham as Creative Producer and music being scored by Rohit Sharma. The Taj Story is set for a grand nationwide theatrical release on 31st October 2025, and aims at being a conversation starter, urging viewers to question, reflect, and perhaps, reframe the way they see both history and freedom.

Earlier, Paresh Rawal had opened up about his emotionally resonant journey while portraying a guru in another film, Ajey: The Untold Story of a Yogi. He revealed that this particular role went beyond acting—it touched something personal and profound within him.
