Amitabh Bachchan becomes India's highest-paid TV host with KBC 17? Actor's fees revealed

According to Siasat, Amitabh Bachchan is asking Rs 5 crore for each episode of KBC 17. Since the show airs five times a week, the actor's weekly salary exceeds Rs 25 crore.

With this, Amitabh Bachchan has surpassed Salman Khan as India's highest-paid television host. The latter was reportedly given Rs 12 crore per Weekend Ka Vaar episode on Bigg Boss OTT 2, which amounted to almost Rs 24 crore per week. However, it should be mentioned that Salman only shoots for Bigg Boss twice a week.

Big B goes the Agneepath way

In the recent promo, Amitabh Bachchan channelled his iconic character Vijay from Agneepath to announce his return with Kaun Banega Crorepati's 17th season. In the promo, a rich man was seen demeaning the delivery person, while the delivery man stunned him with his knowledge. Soon after, Amitabh Bachchan enters the frame and he shared, "11 August se appointment hai apna, kya bolta hai? Appointment. English bolta hai." 

In another promo, TV actress Sumbul Touqeer Khan is seen as a restaurant manager who schools a group of college students with her knowledge on Chinese cuisine and Manchurian. Big B looked impressed with her confidence and shared how the upcoming season will see more of such contestants who would win with their power of gyaan. 

The show's legacy has lasted more than two decades. Shah Rukh Khan even hosted the show for several seasons. He also added some interesting elements to the show with his charm. Big B's ardent supporters persuaded him to return to the show, and Kaun Banega Crorepati has never looked back since. Fans' enthusiasm for the show has grown with each season. It would be intriguing to see what new elements the forthcoming season will bring to the contestants.
