A week after Mumbai featured on the list of TasteAtlas's '100 Best Food Cities in the World', the city's Vada pav has easily made it to the list of '50 Best Sandwiches' released on .
Appearing at 26, the delicious Maharashtrian dish is the only Indian sandwich on the list with a rating of 4.3. The list features the Middle Eastern delight Shawarma on number 1, followed by the Vietnamese Bahn Mi, and the Tombik Doner, making up the top three sandwiches in the world.
Interestingly, the list has three other variations of the Vietnamese sandwich including the Bahn Mi Thit, Bahn Mi Heo Quay - both of which are in the top 10, while Bahn Mi Dac Biet features at number 48, as Beef on Weck from the US closes the list.
The other interesting sandwiches on the list include the Lobster Roll from the US, and the Cuban Sandwich, also attributed to them. However, the delicious vada, which is known for its spicy potato mix, sits proudly on the list among other sandwiches from other countries, reminding us why we need to be proud of it more.
