Protein laddoo
Finding sweets that satiate a Bengali’s sweet cravings just perfectly in that moment might face some tough luck if the person concerned lives outside of West Bengal. And ‘Maa ke haath’ ka savoury and sweet delights are inherently different from one state/culture to another. Although I liked puran poli occasionally, it didn’t exactly wow the taste buds. Then, a package from Patil Kaki arrived, and I had to change my stance. Methi ladoo, besan ladoo, dink ladoo, kul kul, nankhatai and shankarpali are some of my favourites from this local platform. Their exactness of flavour and homemade love is what tilts the scales. If ‘oh-so-delicious’ mithai is what you desire, check out Patil Kaki.
