The special admission round for first-year junior college (FYJC) admissions, under the ‘Open to All’ category was held on Monday. A total of 15,320 students – 4,437 in the Arts stream, 3,979 in Commerce, and 6,904 in Science – have been allotted seats in junior colleges in accordance to their priority in the special round.
Of these, 13,064 students have been directly admitted to junior colleges until Tuesday. This includes 12,090 students admitted through the cap round and 974 under the management of minority quota.
Out of the total 14,83,033 registered FYJC aspirants, 13,43,969 filled the Part-1 (registration) and Part-2 (junior college preference) admission application forms. Of them, 13,24,624 students have confirmed their admission to junior colleges so far for the 2025-26 academic year.
