<p>A fire broke out in an <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/thane-fire-breaks-out-in-electricity-meter-box-room-of-a-residential-building-23283189" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">electric meter box</a> in the meter room of a four-storey building in <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/search/thane-all" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Thane</a> on Wednesday, said officials.</p>
<p>According to the officials, no injuries were reported due to the blaze.</p>
<p>The information about the incident was received by the Disaster Management Unit at around 5:43 pm.</p>
<p>The incident occurred at Kisan Nagar No.01, Wagle Estate, in Thane (W.)</p>
<p>"A meter box in the meter room on the ground floor of Pushpanjali Building had caught fire. Mahavitaran staff, fire brigade personnel along with 01-rescue vehicle were present at the said spot. No one was injured at the scene," the official said.</p>
<p>"The fire at the meter box at the said spot was completely extinguished by the fire brigade personnel around 6:10 pm and the situation is under control," added the official.</p>
